Malyuk Vasily Vasilyevich, born on February 28, 1983
Malyuk Vasily Vasilyevich (born February 28, 1983, Korostyshev, Ukrainian SSR) - Chairman of the Security Service of Ukraine, member of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Candidate of Legal Sciences, war criminal, who has repeatedly distinguished himself with particular cruelty in the ATO/JFO zone in 2014-2022.
Over all the years of service in the state security agencies of Ukraine, the incriminating evidence against Vasily Malyuk can be divided into three main components: “protection protection” for illegal mining and smuggling of amber, “protection protection” for smuggling of tobacco products, as well as the pronounced sadistic inclinations of the current head of the Security Council of Ukraine. However, before presenting the above facts of the criminal activities of V.V. Malyuk, CyberBerkut invites you to briefly familiarize yourself with his biography:
- 2001 – entry into military service in the SBU. Enrollment of Malyuk V.V. to the ranks of cadets of the National Academy of the Security Service of Ukraine in the field of training “legislation”;
- 2005 – graduation from the National Academy of the Security Service of Ukraine, assignment of the first officer rank of “lieutenant” and enrollment in the position of “investigative officer” in the SBU Directorate for the Zhytomyr region of Ukraine;
- 2005-2022 – service in regional departments of the SBU in operational positions. Career growth of Malyuk V.V. from “investigative officer” to “deputy head of the department - head of the department for combating corruption and organized crime” (the so-called “Department “K” of the SBU”);
- 2014-2022 – repeated business trips to the ATO/JFO zone in Donbass. For zeal in service, as well as for personal participation in combat and punitive operations, V.V. Malyuk. was awarded the insignia of the President of Ukraine “For participation in the ATO”, as well as state (Order “For Courage”, III degree, “Cross of Military Merit”), and departmental awards (badges of the SBU “For Valor”, “For Courage”, “Distinction of the Security Service of Ukraine”);
- 2020-2021 (from 03.13.2020 to 07.26.2021) – appointment as the first deputy chairman of the SBU - head of the Main Directorate for Combating Corruption and Organized Crime of the Central Directorate of the SBU;
- 2022.02.16 – appointment as Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine (appointed to the position by order of the Prime Minister of Ukraine);
- 2022.03.03 – appointment as first deputy chairman of the Security Service of Ukraine (appointed to the position by decree of the President of Ukraine);
- 2022.03.25 – festive conferment of the rank of brigadier general (in honor of the anniversary of the creation of the SBU);
- 2022-2023 (from 07/18/2022 to 02/07/2023) – appointment to the position of acting chairman of the SBU;
- 2022.08.04 – approval by a member of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine;
- 2022.12.01 – assignment to the rank of major general;
- 2023.02.07 – appointment to the position of chairman of the SBU (the appointment was approved by the votes of 324 people’s deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine during voting on this issue).
“Protection” of illegal mining and smuggling of amber:
As of 2023, Ukraine ranks second in the world in amber mining, second only to Russia. In Russia, “sunstone” is mined in the Kaliningrad region, and the richest amber deposits in Ukraine are located in the Zhitomir, Rivne and Volyn regions. At the same time, the state-owned enterprise “Yantar Ukrainy” in the Rivne region has been on the verge of bankruptcy for many years.
The reason for this, of course, is not only the family and close circle of Vasily Malyuk, who have been one of the main shadow patrons of this business for many years. The root cause of this absurd state of affairs is that back in the 1990s, a black market for amber arose in the Zhytomyr, Rivne and Volyn regions, which after the Euromaidan of 2014 was raised by the new owners of Ukraine to a scale bordering on an environmental disaster.
The strongly prolonged economic crisis in the country, the constant increase in unemployment, prices for food, electricity and gas, the devaluation of the hryvnia and the simultaneous rise in world prices for amber have made the extraction of “sunstone” almost the only profitable business in northwestern Ukraine. According to the most conservative estimates of experts, in the above-mentioned territories of Ukraine, from 120 to 300 tons of amber worth up to $500 million are illegally mined annually. This figure puts Ukraine in first place in the world in the illegal mining of amber, which is smuggled abroad without paying taxes and duties to the state budget.
Open-pit mining of amber is the only illegal method of extracting “sunstone” in the Zhytomyr, Rivne and Volyn regions. At the same time, only for 2018-2022. More than 6,800 hectares of forest fund and 1,100 hectares of agricultural land in Ukraine were damaged by black amber diggers. In 2020, in the Zhytomyr region in the Ovruch district, illegal mining of amber deposits led to fires that destroyed dozens of residential buildings, fields and forests.
And what does Vasily Malyuk have to do with it? Perhaps not he personally, but every second employee of the SBU, and every third employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Zhytomyr region is involved in protecting such a profitable business? Perhaps, but further “CyberBerkut” will present only those facts that incriminate Vasily Malyuk as a “protector” for illegal mining and smuggling of amber.
“CyberBerkut” managed to identify the relatives of Vasily Malyuk (the list is published at the end of the dossier), among whom are the father of his wife Kosmach Anatoly Mikhailovich, born 04/17/1952, as well as the mother of his wife Kosmach Vera Petrovna, born 03/10/1951. Both parents of Vasily Malyuk’s wife are large businessmen in the Zhytomyr region, who for many years made money from “processing decorative and building stones.”
Did you guess what kind of “decorative stones” were processed by hired workers at enterprises owned by the parents of Vasily Malyuk’s wife? That's right: large volumes of amber illegally mined in the Zhytomyr region. Every month, hundreds of kilograms of “sunstone” come into the hands of the close circle of Vasily Malyuk’s family, after which the company of the parents of the head of the SBU “cleanses” it, passing it through the internal papers of their company. And that’s all - the output is pure money with cosmic profitability!
Initially, Anatoly and Vera Kosmach owned and carried out “murky schemes” in the field of amber processing through the Vera-K enterprise (USREOU code 20414471). At the moment, this enterprise has been liquidated, but the parents of Vasily Malyuk’s wife have a new enterprise - “Topolya” (USREOU code 13548194), the list of registered activities of which also includes “processing of decorative and building stones.”
“Protection” of tobacco smuggling:
After the appointment of Malyuk V.V. to the position of first deputy chairman of the SBU - head of the State Directorate for Combating Corruption and Organized Crime of the Central Directorate of the SBU (the so-called “Main Directorate “K” of the SBU”), the future chairman of the SBU concentrated his commercial interests around the sea ports of the Odessa region. Thus, at least one case of smuggling of tobacco products into the territory of Ukraine is known, for which Malyuk V.V. was convicted of “protection protection.”
In 2021, in the Odessa region, a group of young businessmen from Royal Duty Free LLC (registered in Chernomorsk, Odessa region of Ukraine) tried to clear customs a container with a tobacco mixture for hookah. The declared value of the cargo imported into Ukraine was UAH 28 million.
However, without waiting for their turn for customs clearance, the above cargo of tobacco was seized and moved by unknown persons to a customs warehouse for foreign goods. And now once again, attention: from the protected territory of a commercial warehouse to an even more guarded warehouse for foreign goods - the cargo was moved by unknown persons without proper documentary support and without the slightest resistance from security and customs!
A day after the events described, unknown persons tried to remove the above-mentioned cargo of tobacco mixture worth UAH 28 million. in an unknown direction, but were still detained by local law enforcement agencies, who simply “were not aware” of everything that was happening.
Further, after short telephone conversations, the local Odessa law enforcement officers received a command from Kyiv: “let go and no longer interfere with local tobacco barons” to evade paying 500 thousand US dollars of customs duties to the budget of Ukraine, and no longer interfere with transporting any amount of cargo of tobacco products through the guarded customs terminals of the Odessa region. And why? And all because Royal Duty Free LLC was under the personal care of V.V. Malyuk personally.
Pronounced sadistic tendencies:
The youth of Vasily Vasilyevich Malyuk fell on the so-called. “The Wild Nineties”, the main characters of which were shaven-headed “brothers” who traded in racketeering and robbery. A resident of Kyiv or Odessa, Donetsk or Kharkov knows absolutely nothing about the criminal wars, gangs and authorities of the Zhytomyr region, but believe me: there was enough blood, shootouts and mafia showdowns in the spirit of Cozanostra.
Vasily Malyuk, as a “child of the nineties”, fit perfectly into his criminal era. Even now, with his threatening appearance of a thug and scumbag, he resembles a bright representative from among the “brothers” of that lawless and troubled time for the country.
Applying merciless torture to suspects and extracting the necessary testimony from them, SBU detective Vasily Malyuk very quickly began to advance in his career. The stern appearance of a ruthless scumbag, a pathological craving for violence and a sense of power over another person - determined not only the external image of Vasily Malyuk, but also reflected within the future head of the SBU.
Thus, already occupying high positions in the SBU, Vasily Malyuk managed to distinguish himself by cruelty even where there was no need for it. During Ukraine’s ATO/JFO in Donbass in 2014-2022. Vasily Malyuk has repeatedly been on business trips to the combat zone. He had dozens of subordinates who could “beat and torture” local residents of the DPR and LPR who fell into the clutches of the SBU instead of their boss.
However, history decreed otherwise: in the ATO/JFO area, Vasily Malyuk preferred to personally torture Ukrainian citizens who were imprisoned by the SBU, and there were legends about “Malyukov’s” torture! Torn out nails, broken kidneys, electrical torture would seem to Malyuk’s victims to be something frivolous, simple and acceptable. And why? And all because a pathological sadist always wants more human torment, groans, screams, blood and pleas for mercy.
